2023 International Women's Day - Westcoast Community Resources Society

IWD belongs to everyone, everywhere. This IWD we are asking folks to embrace equity and a world free bias, free of stereotypes, free of discrimination. A world where differences are celebrated and valued. The mission is to create a gender equal world. Westcoast Community Resources Society is recognizing International Women’s Day on March 8th, & 9th with a few community events.

March 8th @ 3:30pm Community March starting at The Hub in Ucluelet- returning back to hub and followed by a Snacks. Following that walk event @ 5:15pm is a Self-Love Yoga held at The Hub.

March 9th from 9:ooam – noon Expressive Art’s Workshop with Laura McNeal @ The Hub, FREE event

Territory Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that we work on the land that is colonially known as Ucluelet and Tofino, but is the traditional territory of the Ahousaht, Hesquiaht, Tla-o-qui-aht, Toquaht and Yuułuʔiłʔath peoples.

We stand in solidarity with these nations and recognize the need for change in the systems that continue to oppress indigenous people in our community and across the country. We respectfully acknowledge the occupation of stolen land and stand behind the efforts and resiliency of all indigenous people.
