Community Outreach Program

Program Description

The Community Outreach Program supports and advocates for clients of any identified gender and assists them with accessing services, referrals and government systems.

Community Lunch

Our weekly Community Lunch is prepared by volunteers and is open to all members of the community. The lunches are a great way for people that are new to the community to meet others and to share experiences over a hot soup lunch.

The Community Lunch is suspended until further notice due to COVID-19 restrictions. We can get some hot soup to you if you let us know you’d like some. Reach out by contacting our Community Outreach Worker by calling 250-726-6513.

Community Volunteer Income Tax Program

WCRS is a participating organization in the CVITP (Community Volunteer Tax Program), where eligible individuals with simple, personal, modest income tax situations can get their taxes done for free by trained local volunteers. This program is available year round and volunteers can do up to 10 years back taxes. Inquire for more information or bring your slips to our weekly outreach drop-in.
