Stopping the Violence Women’s Counselling
The Stopping the Violence (STV) Counselling Program offers counselling and support for self-identified women and mature girls who have experienced violence or abuse in relationships, sexual assault or childhood abuse. Wellness and psycho-educational groups are also offered as part of the program.
The STV Counsellor works with survivors of sexual assault, partner abuse, family violence, date rape, historic child abuse, stalking and sexual harassment.
STV Counselling Outcomes
Clients are supported in reclaiming a sense of self and personal rights, which includes the right to make decisions, manage money and manage children.
Clients are also supported in gaining perspective about overwhelming and confusing experiences and making the best personal decisions through exploring beliefs, feelings and the present situation.
Mindful Meditation
The Stopping the Violence Counsellor offers an online guided meditation session, every Wednesday morning from 7:30-8:00am.
