Program Description
Community Outreach helps people in our area by providing support with essential services. We assist individuals of all genders in accessing resources and receiving help for a variety of needs.
Support is provided in the following areas:
Navigating Services
Assistance with understanding and accessing various services, as well as completing necessary documentation.
Referrals to Other Services
Connections to additional services and programs that may be helpful.
Food Security and Community Lunch
Assistance in finding food resources for those in need.
Income Assistance
Guidance on accessing financial help if you’re having difficulties
with income support.
Disability Assistance
Help navigating programs and services for individuals with disabilities.
Community Volunteer Income Tax Program
Support with filing simple tax returns.
Community Volunteer Income Tax Program
This program offers help to eligible individuals who need assistance with their income taxes. Trained local volunteers can help you complete your taxes, including up to 10 years of back taxes, at no cost.
Taxes can also be completed every week at our regularly scheduled walk in services.
Every Wednesday at the WCRS office in Tofino(110 Second Street, Alley entrance) from 12:30am to 2:30pm.
Every Thursday at the WCRS office in Ucluelet (500 Matterson Drive) from 12:30am to 2:30pm.
Community Lunch
Our weekly Community Lunch is supported by dedicated volunteers who prepare and serve a delicious, hearty soup, along with bread,
fruit, pastries, snacks, coffee, and tea.
It’s a wonderful chance for locals and newcomers to meet, make new friends, and share stories in a friendly and welcoming space.
Served at our Ucluelet Location – 500 Matterson Drive
Every Thursday from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM
